The Evans Company began in 1921 in Ladysmith, WI. It was closed in 1932 due to the illness of Mr. Evans. The factory produced three grades of decoys. The "Mammoth" was solid bodied, the "Standard" was made in solid and hollowed bodied, and the "Competitive" was also in solid or hollow bodied but was not sanded. All the decoys had carved heads, glass eyes, and flat bottoms. They were similar in appearance to Mason decoys.
